How it unfolds

Conversation
In the atelier or by letter. What the piece is for, who will wear it, what it should not be.
Two to four weeks

Design & stone
One drawing, not a choice of several. The stone is found, or yours is studied.
One to three months

Making
Alloying, drawing, cutting, setting. You are welcome to visit, but there is little to see for a long time.
Four to nine months

Handover
In person, in the atelier or where you are. With the drawing, the stone report and the house record.
One afternoon

Rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets. Made for one person and, where an edition exists, for very few.

Boxes, seals, small silver. Things for a desk or a pocket that carry the house stone.

Repair, resetting and, occasionally, the quiet remaking of a piece that has stopped being worn.

Stones

Between four and eleven months from the first conversation. We will give you a date at the design stage and keep it.

On consultation. The range depends on the stone and the time. We discuss it openly at the first meeting, before anything is drawn.

No. Many commissions begin by letter and continue by call. We travel for the handover.

Yes. We will examine it, report on it honestly and, if it is right, build around it.

In person wherever possible. Otherwise by insured courier with a member of the atelier meeting you on arrival.

For life. Cleaning, checking and restringing are done by the atelier at no charge. Damage is repaired at cost.

Entirely. Nothing is photographed or published without written permission, and many pieces never appear in the archive.
